When I first started taking photos of others, I had no clue that one day; I myself would also enjoy saying the word "cheese!"
But now thanks in large part to social media sites such as Facebook and Instagram, I cannot resist the urge to take a random selfie of me doing some ridiculous pose that my (now 30 year old) butt has no business doing, but enjoys doing anyways.
So with that image engraved in your head (sorry ... LOL) I figure I would share with you my secrets on how I learned how to take awesome selfies of myself, so without further ado, let's begin ...
Tip #1: be intiment with the lens, treat the lens as your significant other that you are trying to seduce, look directly in its eye and reveal the bedroom eyes for a more confident, adult look for your selfie.
Tip #2: Go Off Center!!!
Being that I am really unaurthdox and off center (personality wise) I could never agree with the notion that a good selfie has to be a photo of someone with them smack dab in the center of the photo, I think that idea is dumb and really just played out.
I have gotten great results from experimenting with different positions as I pose for my cameras and I suggest you try the same, from time to time ...
Tip #3 Review, Review, Review
If you don't like it, don't post it, review, edit, enhance and if it does not come out right, I hope your honesty enough with yourself to start over and try again.
The last thing you want popping up all over the internet is a meme inspired from your silly selfie (LOL) till the next time y'all I'm out!
